I started my career as a registered nurse, and have loved caring for patients in this capacity for the past 5 years.

One day, my neighbor opened up to me about how terrified she was to give birth here in the United States. She did not speak much English, and birth in her culture was so different from the US. I was honored to join her in her birth journey and advocate for her. No refugee, international family, or any women should be afraid to give birth or be alone when giving birth. I wanted to see these women be empowered with confidence, find hope and healing, and have the resources they needed to thrive.

Now, as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Doula (DONA), I am able to care, advocate for, and empower families during, before, and after birth. Through the services I offer here at Legacy Birthing and Lactation, I am able to provide more one-on-one care to my clients and their families and truly listen to their needs/desires.
