Cultivating a Village of Support

Doulas of Lincoln is a community of independent doulas serving families in Lincoln, Nebraska and the surrounding area.
What is a doula?

Doula (doo-luh)
Greek - "Servant"
A doula is a non-medical, community-based support person who specializes in caring for women and families during the perinatal period.
Doulas focus on building relationships with the families they serve to help them navigate pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum. They may specialize in birth, postpartum, or both.
Bringing a child into the world is one of the most transformational experiences of your life, and having a doula by your side can help you feel seen, safe, and supported on the journey.
Visit our blog to learn more about the benefits of birth and postpartum doulas, and why you might consider adding one to your village of care.

Compassion. Advocacy. Community.
The Doulas of Lincoln are committed to:
Increasing public awareness about women's options in childbirth.

Promoting access to doulas within the community.

Continuing education and support for our members.

Collaboration with other birth-related professionals in the Lincoln area.
